How Can You Travel Around London Over Christmas?
Whether by tube, bus, or bike, Secret London will help you travel around London this Christmas.
We took a rollicking ride through the TfL website to help you travel from party to party. Here’s what we found:
December 24th – Normal Sunday service, but with less frequent service after 8pm. There are also some closures on the Circle and District lines.
December 25th – No London Underground services running.
December 26th – The London Underground will be running a Sunday service, with partial closures on the Circle and District lines. No service on the Waterloo & City line.
December 24th – The London Overground will finish early at 9:30pm. Additionally, there will be no Overground service all day on the following routes: Highbury & Islington to Dalston Junction, Camden Road to Stratford, Romford to Upminster, and Gospel Oak to Barking.
December 25th/26th – No London Overground services running.
December 24th – The DLR service will run as normal but will finish early. They resolutely refuse to confirm when exactly, so enjoy that Christmas mystery.
December 25th – No DLR services running.
December 26th – The DLR service will run every 5-10 minutes.
December 24th – No service on the entire line, but replacement buses are in service.
December 25th/26th – No service.
December 24th – Bus services will run as normal but will finish around midnight.
December 25th – There will be no bus services.
December 26th – Bus services will run as a Sunday service, with normal night services.
December 24th/25th/26th – There will be no Congestion Charge or T-Charge.
December 24th – Each cab journey will cost £4 extra after 8pm.
December 25th/26th – Each cab journey will cost an additional £4.
December 24-26th – The Santander hire bikes will be available as normal throughout the festive period. Time to work off that Christmas dinner!
