The UK’s most unique summer festival is returning for 2018 with a line up that’s more inspiring and more charming than ever.
Curious Arts Festival celebrates the best of British literary, musical, and comedic talent with a three-day weekend festival (20th – 22nd July) set within the beautiful grounds of Pylewell Park, in the heart of the magical New Forest.
This immersive festival breaks the mould as an international festival on a local scale, with a line up that’s sure to offer something for everyone. Highlights include music from soulful, singer-songwriter John Newman, comedy from the legendary Al Murray and a jam-packed literary line up. This will feature award-winning author Matt Haig, journalist and McMafia creator Misha Glenny, author of bestselling memoir Everything I Know About Love, Dolly Alderton, The Mermaid and Mrs Hancock author, Imogen Hermes Gowar, and the people’s poet, Lemn Sissay.
The weekend will feature pop-up theatre, hands-on arts and craft workshops, lively literary chat, writing seminars, a pop-up choir (led by The Choir’s Gareth Malone), cocktail masterclasses and much more. There’s a marvelously engaging events programme for the little ones – including Pestival walks, filmmaking workshops, and bedtime stories – so you can bring the whole family along. We recommend making the most of the festival’s glamping and vintage camper van options, for a weekend of hassle-free luxury. It seems only fitting for a festival taking place on one of Britain’s finest country estates!
In case that wasn’t enough to entice you to get involved, just take a look at the Curious Arts Festival’s 2017 video for a little more inspiration:
