TfL have confirmed that Thursday’s tube strike has now been cancelled.
“Hooray!”, everyone who was dreading the horrifically busy bus journeys chant. “Booo!”, grunt the people who had hoped for a day off.
The Aslef Union has just announced that the 24-hour walkout scheduled for Thursday October 5th has now been called off. TfL has made progress in the talks and the strike action is no longer necessary. So all London Underground services are now set to run as normal. Albeit sweaty and rammed, but normal.
The proposed strike that was due to take place on Thursday 5 October has been cancelled. London Underground services will run as normal.
