London is quickly becoming the hub of everything street food related and we’re definitely not complaining. KERB, the street food market vendors that cater to all of our fantasy food needs have only gone and created a new lunchtime hotspot. Opening up tomorrow, the new market housing SIX street food traders will be open every Thursday and Friday from 12-2pm. Perfect for a little end of the week #foodporn. Here’s the lineup:
1. Mother Flipper
If you’re after a mother-flippin’ good burger, these are your guys. We’re talking candied bacon burgers, jalapeño relish burgers, Swiss cheese burgers… the whole shabang. Get down there and try them for yourselves…
2. Nazari
For falafel lovers and chicken lovers alike, Nazari have nailed the Middle Eastern cuisine. Go here if you’re after some feel-good food…
3. Kimchinary
Korean burritos… because who said burritos had to be all about guac and jalapeños? Instead, these are filled with slow braised “bulgogi” brisket or gochujang and sesame pork/chicken. There’s also a tasty aubergine and ssamjang one for the veggies. We might not understand 4/5 of those ingredients but trust us, they’re tasty…
4. The Beefsteaks
The Beefsteaks sound a little bit like an ironic indie rock band, but there’s actually no irony in their name… they do in fact serve beef steaks. Very good beef steaks. Their menu consists of tasty Butcher’s Steak Sandwiches and Steak Frites. Go here if you’re a fan of STEAAAAK *said in a really deep manly voice*!
5. Kolkati
This lot know how to make a damn good wrap. Masala chicken or paneer, coriander, pink pickled onions, a bit of chilli, coconut and coriander raita and a tamarind and date ketchup; all wrapped in a paratha flatbread. And that’s a wrap.
6. Kalimera
Kalimera are nailing Greek street food. Their little van is souvlaki galore, with chicken, lamb and halloumi wraps reigning the menu. They’ve also got a kick-ass moussaka and a salad option if you’re feeling healthy (*cough* boring *cough*).
So ditch your cold pasta salad or soggy shop-bought sandwich and get some lunch with a view at KERB London Bridge City. You’ll find the new market at English Grounds, SE1. For more information, follow KERB here.
