This is it. London has well and truly peaked. We’ve had gin festivals, we’ve had gin bus tours, we’ve even had gin afternoon teas… but a floating gin bar on the Grand Union Canal? That’s revolutionary.
London’s very first ‘Floating Pocket Park’ opened this week, and that was excellent news in itself. But, just to tip us over the edge, Paddington’s Merchant Square has teamed up with top-class cocktail and dining spot, Lockhouse, to launch an exciting floating gin bar within this lovely new space.
Opening on June 10th, which just so happens to be World Gin Day, the Botanical Bar will serve an extensive range of amazing gins and gin cocktails using produce from the on-site herb garden. Located in Paddington Basin, upon the newly opened floating park, the Botanical Bar is the perfect place for gin lovers to enjoy a delicious drink on a sunny summer’s evening.
The menu will include an eclectic mix of cocktails, including the ‘We’ve Got The Whole World Gin Our Hands’, garnished with lavender and lemon balm. And, as well as serving up creative and imaginative drinks, the Botanical Bar will also host a bunch of cocktail making classes and tasting events. Keep an eye on Lockhouse’s website to find out more!
Merchant Square’s Floating Pocket Park boasts 8,000-square feet of delightful green space and it is now open to the public. The Botanical Bar will launch on June 10th and will be open on Thursdays and Fridays between 12pm-9pm until August 19th.
