Rejoice, cocktail friends, because it’s almost that time of year again: London Cocktail Week!
Serving up only the most delicious and delectable treats, it’s our favourite once-a-year excuse to sip on plenty of aesthetically-pleasing beverages. And as the world’s largest celebration of cocktail culture in the world, you won’t want to miss out.
And this year, Peroni is returning as the sole beer brand – but they’re coming back with a difference. As well as serving crisp and refreshing Peroni Nastro Azzurro they’re also mixing things up by creating some delicious Peroni-themed cocktails. Yes please!
The Italian beer brand has long been a champion for up-and-coming talent and creativity, both in the drinks industry and otherwise, and has enlisted some of the best in the business to help it to do so. This year, Peroni is supporting style talent in drinks and fashion through its ‘Home of Emerging talent’ platform. As part of The House of Peroni Fashion Studio, the brand has chosen eight emerging fashion designers and given them everything they needed to succeed – a fully equipped studio, mentorship from industry leaders and the exhibition of their collections during London Fashion Week in February 2019.
At London Cocktail Week, under the mentorship of Peroni’s resident Master of Mixology, Simone Caporale, 5 emerging bartenders from The London EDITION, Bar Three, Bon Vivant, Cecconi’s and Science & Industry in Manchester have carefully crafted the ‘Aperitivo, Restyled by Peroni’ menu. So you’re sure to be in safe hands when it comes to concocting only the best drinks.
The ‘Aperitivo, Restyled by Peroni’ menu will include six new cocktails and offer a new twist on Italian aperitivo. The cocktails will be judged by a selection of trade partners and consumer popularity. Then, the successful bartender who concocted the most delicious new drink will get the potential opportunity to work further with Peroni Nastro Azzurro. On the menu, you’ll find a fresh take on the traditional Bellini, a restyled Negroni and a reinvented Americano. One of our top picks is the “La Vita Salata” (or, The Savoury Life), a stylish twist on the Spritz. This savoury drink is an excellent tipple featuring Peroni Nastro Azzurro, Cinzano Bianco, Fino sherry and olive brine.
And if that wasn’t enough to convince you to come along – consider the Insta-worthy interiors: At The House of Peroni, you’ll be transported to a stylish white world, a visually spectacular space in the heart of The London Cocktail Week Village that’s been inspired by The House of Peroni Fashion Studio.
So what more could you want? Sit back in The House of Peroni with a delicious one-of-a-kind cocktail and pretend that you’re back in the Italian sunshine.
