We send our deepest apologies to the humble, regular potato chip. We still love you. You are a comforting staple and will always be there to tempt us out of any diet. But although it breaks our hearts to say it, plain spuds don’t always cut it (thick or thin). Not when we’ve got this rich, crispy & melt-in-your mouth sweet po-tatties on offer…
1. Band Of Burgers
If you like your sweet potato fries perfectly crisp and with a side of gourmet burger, then head on down to Band of Burgers on Camden High Street. These guys are serving up glorious golden batches of our favourite root veg. The brilliant thing about BOB (other than the fries themselves) is that you can bring your own booze. You might end up in a vicious (but delicious) circle of drinking and sweet potato munching, but who can blame you? To book yourself in for a serious devouring session, have a peruse here.

2. Bo Drake
This East Asian BBQ joint is in the heart of Soho. It serves its fries with its special Kimchi Island dressing, for a deliciously moreish twist. If you’re into your tentacles, eat the sweet tats alongside a portion of their tender baby octopus.

The feel-good Ben’s Canteen, with locations in both Earlsfield and Battersea, serves their sweet tatties hand-cut and thick. The Battersea branch has also recently been featured on Made In Chelsea… However this may affect your decision, we would still definitely recommend you try it out for yourself.
4. Hache
5. Kua ‘Aina
This Hawaiin style grill has restaurants just off both Carnaby Street and Goodge Street. From the get go, these guys are kind enough to warn you (and your waistline) on their menu that their sweet potato fries are highly addictive. We’re unsure of as to why, as this mere little disclaimer is not enough to restrain anyone from scoffing down these golden beauties.
Enough about sweet potato fries. I’m. Too. Hungry. Good job our offices are in Camden, as I’ll be heading to Band Of Burgers later…
