As part of Totally Thames, a month long celebration of our glorious (if not a bit grimey) river, a thought-provoking art installation has arrived in London.
Designed by artist Maria Arceo, this massive installation will tour riverside locations across London to showcase the sheer amount of plastic litter that is being discarded in the Thames. At dusk, the artwork will be illuminated by interactive light artist Tim Scheffer.
The litter was collected by the artist over the course of a year from over 40 beaches along the Thames. Ultimately, the installation has been designed to challenge Londoners and get them thinking about working towards a more sustainable future.
‘Future Dust’ is free to visit and will be at St Katharine Docks between 8-13th September, Watermans Art Centre between 15-20th September and Canary Wharf between 22-30th September.
