It’s summer and that means rosé season. Well, rosé season just got even better because frosé has arrived in London.
The drink first appeared in New York last summer (some of you might have even seen this viral video making the rounds on Facebook) and we’re pleased to announce that you can now sample it in London. Ben’s Canteen is rolling out the rosé slush puppy at their two South London restaurants (Earlsfield and Clapham Junction). We know you’re going to love it as much as we do.
Not only is this drink OMG amazing, it also has the added bonus of being a nostalgic throwback to your childhood. One sip of this stuff will have you fondly remembering the neon red slush puppies you inevitably consumed on your childhood trips to laser quest, the bowling alley and the soft-play centre. Oh, except this slushy is made with pink wine, so is therefore ten times more delicious.
Frosé combines rosé wine, strawberry purée, lemon juice, sugar syrup, cranberry juice and sweet vermouth, and it’s all mixed together in a retro slushy maker to create a delicious Summer drink. Ben’s Canteen is also offering you a special ‘Wimbledon edition’ while the tennis tournament is happening, from the 3rd to the 16th July, with added double cream. Strawberries and cream are practically mandatory during Wimbledon week, right?
We’d also like to take a moment to mention Ben’s numerous other virtues. I’m just going to leave these pictures here for you to salivate over…
You can thank us later. For more information about Ben’s Canteen just visit their website or take a sneaky peek at their Instagram page for more #foodporn.
