Last week marked the start of Spring at the top of the Shard. On Wednesday 23rd March The View from The Shard’s horticulturalists positioned and analysed plants at the very top of the building’s spire (in airspace 900ft high!) to test their adaptability to altitude ahead of the attraction’s Botanical Gardens opening this summer.
From the 9th June this year, The View from The Shard’s open air sky deck – boasting London’s highest view – will be transformed into an urban botanical oasis to celebrate the Year of the English Garden.
Other events happening at the Shard this Spring include the world’s highest search game of Where’s Wally? It runs until the 10th April and is ideal for families. For ticket and event information, go to their website.
