Even if there isn’t snow in London this week, it’s going to be bloody cold.
Time for Londoners to collectively lose their shit, because there’s a (laughably small!) chance of snow in London this week.
SNOW!
YES, BEAUTIFUL GLORIOUS CHRISTMASSY SNOW!
There’s a catch though. Before you start planning your snowman/beginning your existential crisis (delete as appropriate), bear in mind that this happens literally every winter, and literally every winter we end up disappointed.
It all depends on whether the weather gods are pleased by the ritualistic bounties they have received this year. Wednesday and Thursday are the days to look out for as temperatures will plummet, with Wednesday ranging from a high of 6 degrees, to a low of -1. Thursday will be colder, with a bracing high of 4 degrees, and the mercury will flirt with freezing for most of the day.
As an early Christmas gift, the wind chill will make Thursday feel more like -4. Because apparently London was having too much fun already. Cheers November…
Cold Arctic air will blow, bringing freezing temperatures and the chance of snow. It isn’t expected to settle, but keep your fingers crossed and your heart pure, and a miracle might take place!
Hopefully the reactions to this year’s “blizzard” will be as good as the ones from the Great Storm of January were.
