Views over London from Skylight

Skylight, Wapping’s gorgeous rooftop bar, is back for another summer of fun.

It’s been a while, but the rooftops of London are once again filled with cocktails, games, and good times, allowing us to hit the heights and sip Negronis as the sun sets. Happily, one of our favourite places to do just that is Skylight, the Wapping rooftop that boasts sundowner sessions, sweeping views, and rooftop games. They’ve got some cracking activities lined up for their summer season, including rooftop pétanque and champagne packages that’ll make your evenings here truly memorable.

The sizzling rooftop spot spends the winter hosting ice skating and fondue, but in summer, it’s all about soaking up those rays with a classic lawn game. French favourite pétanque is the perfect game to play on a warm summer’s eve – mostly because you can play it with a drink in one hand! Our friends at Fever have lined up a cocktails and pétanque deal that you’re going to love, with a reserved table for you to gaze at the panoramic views. You can book that here.

Croquet lawns, live comedy, cocktail masterclasses, and Sunday quizzes are amongst the other Skylight highlights, but for a sedate option, you can book a private booth with Moët Brut Imperial champagne and table service. It’s the ultimate in rooftop luxury, and a rather indulgent way to while away a weekend – reserve your spot here.

If you get peckish, fear not, as you’ll find delicious food options up on the roof; Hikari specialise in fresh Asian cuisine, whilst State Side lean heavily into American indulgence. Skylight is home to three bars serving beer, wine, and spirits, and a seasonal cocktail menu offers the perfect libation for those unforgettable London sunsets.

Skylight draws in the crowds with food, drink, and gorgeous views of the city, and since they’re all here in abundance, it’s time to perch on the sky terrace with a drink in hand and watch the sunset…
