Stop rummaging around in your bag when you get to the barrier ladies! Lucie Davis, a BA student studying Jewellery at Central St Martin’s, has designed Oyster Card acrylic nails. If anything could epitomise the bemusing phrase ‘on fleek’, these nails certainly would. They’re embedded with an RFID chip, which means that you can swipe, top up and get through the Underground barriers, with the ease of a sassy hand flick. Check out the nails in action below.
Touch in and out – Oyster card acrylic nails with RFID chip – Last chance to come and see them in my final collection at the Central Saint Martins degree show! All inspired by engaging with our daily surroundings… #csmloading #jewellerydesign #technology #nailart #luciedavis #everydayvalue #interaction #information #decoration
Lucie and fellow students were ask to create something that was inspired by their everyday surroundings and instantly thought of her morning commute (and more importantly, how she could improve it!). We seriously hope TfL picks up on her designs.
The Central Saint Martins degree show opens next Wednesday to the public! Come and see my Oyster card acrylic nails in action for touching in and out…because with the RFID chip at your fingertip it’s the fastest way to pay ???✨ #csmloading #jewellerydesign #contactless #nailart #luciedavis #dailyinteraction #everydayvalue #finalcollection #ahhh
