The World’s First Ever Selfie Cafe Is Coming To London For 3 Days Only

It was bound to happen eventually. A Selfie-Service cafe is coming to London, combining the three things that Londoners love more than anything else in the world: food, pop-ups and, um, taking pictures of ourselves. Each morning from 7.30am to 11.30am, on Tuesday 6th October to Thursday 8th October, Londoners can ‘pay’ for a bowl of steaming hot porridge or fluffy pancakes by simply uploading a selfie to Facebook, Twitter or Instagram with the hashtag #SmilesWithLyles.

The pop-up is being hosted by Lyle’s Golden Syrup, in partnership with Mischief PR and will be held at 44 Bedford Street in Covent Garden. The brand that made our childhoods sweeter is aiming to spread a little joy in the morning after a recent study found that only a third of Londoners smile before 9am.

So you best get practising your selfie game…

Lyle’s Golden Syrup Selfie-Service Cafe will be open from October 6-8 at 44 Bedford St, WC2E 9HA.
