Londoners spend a bloody long time underground. For many of us it feels like we spend more time rubbing up against other people’s sweaty pits than breathing in the fresh air. With this in mind, Corona are on a mission to help us swap the underground for the Aboveground.
In a bid to prevent us from missing beautiful, natural moments like the setting of the sun, instead of tutting at the lack of wifi on the tube, Corona are encouraging us to switch the underground for the Aboveground by hosting spontaneous alfresco events across the city, all in honour of great beer and great sunsets.
Embracing the last of the summer sun, Corona will be hosting top secret shenanigans at some of London’s very best sunset-viewing spots. Think Radio Rooftop, SkyLounge and other Insta-worthy bars and beer gardens. They even threw a jolly good knees-up at the Shard last night!
So, from now until mid-September, expect to see Corona popping up all over the shop when the conditions are right. The events will be free, you’ll just have to be prepared to ditch your comparatively mediocre plans and be somewhere before dusk. So, if it looks like a good day for a beautiful sunset, we suggest you look out for an exciting announcement from Corona.
There’ll be cold Coronas (including a free beer on arrival), some ruddy great DJs (eg. Pedestrian, Dark Sky and Auntie Flo) and plenty an Insta op. Keep an eye on Corona Aboveground’s Facebook event for more details and announcements — just don’t expect anything until the day of the event, it will stay top secret until then.
