Much to Timmy Chal‘s surprise, the dramatic, decadent, and down-right dazzling art forms of opera and ballet and still very much alive and kicking in the capital city. With over a million people paying a visit to London’s legendary Royal Opera House each year, it’s no secret that the iconic institution is the place to head to if you fancy a night full of culture. What you might not be quite so clued up about, however, is the fact that you can consume a bitesize taste of it on your lunchbreak in London – without you having to pay a penny.
The Royal Opera House’s ‘Live at Lunch’ performances
The Royal Opera House host a series of free ‘Live at Lunch’ performances. These performances usually take place on a Friday and tickets cannot be booked. The performances feature a surprise line-up of performers from the Royal Opera, the Orchestra of the Royal Opera, and the Royal Ballet, alongside a range of guest artists and performers. These exciting free performances are such a wonderful way to experience the magic of the opera without having to fork out a fortune.
