Every Sunday across July, Regent Street will close off its road to traffic as part of the Summer Streets Festival. With each Sunday comes a different theme; the first Sunday was dedicated to London’s transportation through the ages. This Sunday (10th July) will see the pedestrianised street dedicate a day to fitness and wellbeing. It will be the starting line of a 10km run and will run other activities, such as table tennis, bootcamp fitness classes and the chance to watch some of the top hockey teams play on an inflatable pitch!
On 17th July the urban Garden Party comes to Regent Street, hosted by some of the city’s top restaurants and retailers. Along with food stalls and entertainment, there will be a bandstand playing live music on a lawn surrounded by Tommy Hilfiger deck chairs. Farrrncy. All the shops along Regent Street will also remain open for your spending pleasure.
On the final Sunday of the festival – 24th July – Regent Street have partnered with the much-loved ice cream brand, Magnum, to bring a rather delicious day of fashion. And, yes, there will be an ice cream dipping bar, where you can create your own tasty chocolate treat. Mmmmmm.
Entry is free across all three dates!
