Regent Street Is Closing Down Its Streets For Some Summer Fun
One of London’s busiest streets and shopping destinations will be pedestrians-only this month.
Regent Street’s Summer Streets is celebrating its fifth year of this great free London event by making it even more fun and lively than before. Every Sunday from July 2nd-23rd, Regent Street will be closed to vehicles, and become a pedestrian paradise instead.
This year, you can expect a meditation bus offering some complimentary calm will be provided by Lululemon whilst mini pampering sessions and skin consultations will be run by Kiehl’s.
As well as live music and family-friendly events like living wildlife mazes and appearances from characters of Despicable Me, there will be Summer Street’s first ever Food Quarter. Guests can gorge on short rib burgers from Heddon Street Kitchen, chow down on biryanis from Masala Zone or nibble on the British summertime classic of strawberries and cream. You can’t beat it right?
If you’re going down there to take part in some frenzied weekend shopping, you may also be in luck too. Many of the stores will be dishing out complimentary nibbles and drinks, so you could be sipping on a cocktail whilst shopping for your latest pair of summer sandals.
