Prost! London’s German Bierfest Is Back And This Year It’s Bigger Than Ever

Grab your finest dirndl or slip on your sharpest lederhosen because London’s biggest annual Bierfest is back today! From now until the 7th May you can celebrate the German way at German Bierfest, where picturesque Mile End park has been transformed into a traditional German village. Expect more bratwurst than you can shake a stick at and, of course, lots and lots of beer!

You can even get your Christmas market fix six months early because – alongside the beer – you’ll find loads of German market stalls selling traditional goods. There’s even entertainment in the form of a live Oompah band and an evening DJ set. Honestly, what could be better than socially acceptable day-drinking followed by an evening of live music?

General admission to the German village and Biergarden is absolutely free, giving you loads of spare cash to splash on their special German brews and a bratwurst or two. If you want to keep the party going a bit longer, tickets to the Bavarian FestTent are just £5. Which, I’m sure you’ll agree, is a small price to pay to spend an evening belting out ’99 Red Balloons’ on top of a trestle table with your lederhosen-clad mates!
