Now the Harry Potter series has come to it’s literary and cinematic close (at least for now), we Potterheads are finding locating an outlet for our obsession rather challenging. While tickets for Harry Potter and The Cursed Child remain almost as illusive as the elder wand itself, there’s little we can do to satisfy our cravings for the wizarding world… Well, help is at hand, because we’ve found a way to relive the magic, at a Wizard Book Club in a secret London location!
Celebrating 20 years since the release of Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone (yes, you heard me correctly, twenty years) this book club gives you a weekly dose of Potter to help you live your regular muggle lives contentedly. Each week, the first book will be read out in two-chapter installments while you’re treated to Potter-themed snacks and drinks.
Impending deadline at work? Financial worries? Just slip on your school robes, hop on your Nimbus 2000, and explore Hogwarts with Harry and friends. This sounds like the perfect mid-week escape! There’s definitely no judgement here, because here, you’re among Rowling fans, who will always be there to welcome you back home to Hogwarts.
The Wizard Book Club begins Tuesday 20th June at 7pm and each two-hour session will run every Tuesday until 15th August. There’ll even be a book one after party in September, where you can dress up and drag your mates along for some butterbeer-fuelled fun!
