A Pedestrian Fast Lane Zooms Into Waterloo This Week

A speedy lane for fast paced Londoners will open on the pavement outside Waterloo station on Thursday this week. The lane is exclusively for use of peoples travelling above 3mph (the average human walking speed apparently) and not for people on their phones – We struggle to understand how people are supposed to know the speed that they are currently moving without checking on snapchat buuuuut we still support the fast lane!!!

Sadly however, we’ll only be able to chase past slow moving vehicles, (tourists as they prefer to be called), for two days as this fast lane is just part of Direct Line insurance companies’ publicity stunt, hence the name ‘Direct Lane.’

We can’t help but feel a little teased by this glorious idea that will massively improve our daily commute.. for two days only. Sadiq, if you feel like having words to make this Waterloo pedestrian fast lane permanent, as well as introducing fast lanes at all other tube stations and popular tourist sights, that would be hugely appreciated my good friend.
