Tired Of Tinder? A New App Is Totally Changing The Dating Scene In London

Forget swiping right. Forget swiping left. In fact, forget online dating as you know it. A new app, recently launched in London, promises to do all the hard stuff for you, making it much more likely you’ll actually meet the perfect person. Once uses real-live matchmakers to sift through a sea of potential suitors, sending you just one match per day, specifically tailored to your preferences. Think of them as your personal shopper: they’ll know what suits you best and won’t bombard you with too many options, meaning a lot less time wasted trying on clothes that don’t fit.

Because that’s the problem with online dating nowadays: it’s such a crowded market, there’s hardly room to breathe and with so many people now opting to do their romancing online, it’s getting more and more difficult to get noticed. Once makes its users feel special, sending you just one match per day based on preferences you select when you initially sign up. You’ll then have 24 hours to chat to your match – or give them the boot, if they’re not quite up to scratch.

In some ways it’s a bit more brutal. Unlike Tinder, you’ll know exactly who has ditched you and sometimes it’s hard to not take it personally. But it’s also the ‘personal’ aspect that makes Once unique – you’ll be notified when your match is looking at you and you can be sure (at least for the next 24 hours) that they’re only thinking about you. So that means no more wandering eyes and a few more butterflies in the stomach. Who said romance was dead?

In other words, it’s just a yes or a no, and then it’s back to London living. We likey. Download it here.
