It wouldn’t be the London Underground without a delay would it? After ups and downs and backs-and-forths it’s looking like the launch of the London Underground night service has been set back to a later date.
The new service, which will see the London Underground operating through the night at weekends, was due to start on September 12. Disputes between unions and TFL about rotas and working conditions led to various tube strikes across the capital in July and August. An agreement still has not been reached and we can probably expect more strikes to hit London in the next few months.
So it’s looking like we’re going to have to put up with those nightly treks across town for a little while longer. How long exactly? Who knows. All we’ve heard so far is that the night tube will launch “in Autumn”…
Better get comfy on that night bus.
