A Nordic-Inspired Rooftop Has Opened Above Oxford Street And There’s Coin-Operated Cocktails!

Summer is set to start a lot sooner than we thought because London’s latest rooftop hotspot is open and ready for business! Imagine a Scandinavian-inspired nature reserve in the heart of Oxford Street… sounds wonderful, right? Well, Sisu have got everything you’d want and more in this year’s alfresco favourite.

The team behind last year’s favourite #NotchLDN are back (and better) this year! Tucked away behind a top secret entrance in Marble Arch (obviously Secret London approves), this rooftop oasis comes complete with mixed log tables to emulate those Nordic vibes, lots of leafy green plants, and heated concrete seats… because the summer may not be as hot as some of us would like.

A greenhouse dining space named RetrEat (clever) has been commissioned especially for the rooftop and guests can expect to feast on international delicacies such as fried chicken waffles, Canadian poutine, miso aubergine tacos and much more!

But the best has certainly been saved for last in this post because Sisu have made all of our dreams come true with a bespoke cocktail tap. Yes, you heard us correctly. Customers will be able to purchase tokens and dispense Negronis and Old Fashioneds as and when they please.

Besides a great selection of craft beers, wine and cider, Sisu certainly know what they’re doing on the cocktail front. The light, summer Florodora will satisfy any gin lover with a mix of fresh raspberries and ginger, whilst the Warming Howler is set to warm up those chillier summer evening with bourbon, apricot reserve and lemon.

Sisu has the capacity for up to 100 guests, including 40 in RetrEat, so expect wonderful food and drink to be served up from noon until 10pm from May to late September!

For more information, visit their website and Twitter page.

You’ll find this Nordic paradise at 535 Oxford Street, London W1C 2QW. But remember… it’s a secret!
