Street Feast are back again and this time, they’re returning to South-East London! Opening this week, they’re set to feed the people of Lewisham all the lip-smackingly good street food they could ever want.
Model Market re-opens on the 28th just in time for the May Day Bank Holiday weekend, so it’s the perfect excuse to eat and drink all the burgers and rum you could possibly need on a leisurely weekend.
Think big burger connoisseurs Mother Flipper, Up In My Grill and You Doughnuts to help create a veritable feast. With the market opening until 1am every Friday and Saturday, you’re sure to indulge well into the night … they even have an all-vinyl wine bar to help form the soundtrack to your lazy spring evenings!
One of the newbies on the block is Nanban, the Japanese soul food brain child of Masterchef alumni, Tim Anderson. With dishes like Electric Eel and a Japanese Carbonara dish, we can’t wait to sample some of the interesting delights he’s bound to have on offer. Another new trader is Tacos Del Rey, which will be serving up all our taco dreams with dishes like the Cheeseburger and Buffalo Chicken tacos.
Safe to say, you’re bound to make a Model Market bucket list to get round to all these bad boys so just make sure you’re prepared and wearing your comfy trousers!
Model Market re-opens on the 28th April and entry before 7pm is free, £3 after. It’ll be open all this weekend (including Sunday) but will usually open every Friday and Saturday from 5pm-1am. Stay updated via Street Feast’s Twitter.
