Michelle Obama will appear live in conversation at the Southbank Centre next month.
Taking place on Monday, December 3, the former First Lady will be right here in London to promote her new memoir Becoming, taking the stage at the 2,700 capacity venue. Say the organisers:
Reflecting on her memoir, Michelle Obama will invite audiences into her world, chronicling the experiences that have shaped her—from her childhood on the South Side of Chicago to her years as an executive balancing the demands of motherhood and work to her time spent at the world’s most famous address.
She’ll be in conversation with the critically-acclaimed author Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, of ‘We Should All Be Feminists’ fame (along with prize-winning novels Purple Hibiscus, Half of a Yellow Sun and Americanah.)
Earlier this week, a mural of Michelle appeared in Brixton, created by Neequaye Dreph Dsane.
Tickets, from £30, each come with a copy of Mrs O’s new book, and go on sale for Southbank members at 10am on Nov 7, and for everyone else at 10am on Nov 8, available here.
