Remember those igloos that took over our Instagram feeds and filled us with FOMO? Well now they’re gone, so tough luck if you didn’t manage to squeeze in a visit.
As of today, Coppa Club’s famous riverside igloos have been replaced by seven beautiful Mediterranean-style cabanas, blooming with roses and wisteria and kitted up with comfy sofas and wicker chairs. It’s the perfect summer hotspot for the times when you’d quite like to be holidaying in Tuscany, but your bank account says “nope”.
Not only are the immediate surroundings beautiful, but the cabanas each boast fantastic views across the Thames, meaning you can wave to the Shard, Tower Bridge and the HMS Belfast as you sip on delicious summer cocktails, dine in style, or scoff on Benedict waffles from the brand new brunch menu. Aside from great food and great views, each cabin is hooked up with fairy lights, heaters (a necessity, of course) and individual speakers to set the mood. It’s like the ultimate garden party, but without the stress of hosting. (And of course there’s the more obvious issue that most of us Londoners don’t actually own a garden).
Three cabanas will be reserved for private use for up to 8-10 people, two will have a number of smaller tables for groups of 2-6, and the final two will be reserved for walk-ins. Alongside the cabanas, there’ll also be a giant hexagonal bar serving up summery drinks. Bookings are available online only — check availability here.
You’ll find Coppa Club at 3 Three Quays Walk, Lower Thames Street, EC3R 6AH
