Last year, Coppa Club’s snuggly Thames-side globes were the hottest tables in town…
…so NATURALLY, they’ll be making a comeback for 2018 – and sooner than you think! While rivals might be wrapping rickety poles in polythene and declaring it ‘festive’, Coppa Club’s beautiful perspex capsules offer crystal clear views of Tower Bridge and the Shard, while keeping your squad satisfyingly snug.
The igloos may have transformed into partly-al-fresco ‘paradise pods’ for the summer, but now they’re once again welcoming sheepskin rugs, fluffy blankets and twinkling lights for colder months – oh, and closing their doors all the way, too! Some igloos contain dining tables for dinner dates, while others are more laidback with sofas and armchairs. And on the bar menu, Sipsmith will be laying on special winter gin offerings that promise to add a dash of additional merriment. (It’s the ideal end-point for any autumn or winter stroll through the city, we reckon.)
The igloos are officially set to open on October 9, when booking opens online. (The igloos are free to dine in as long as you show up, but they get booked up very quickly!) But there IS a sneak preview: the venue is hosting a celebration of these dashing domes on Saturday, October 6, which they’re calling Ig-fest. You can get a glimpse of the new ‘gloos (as well as try them for yourself, if you get a chance) and enjoy live music and DJs. There are even rumours of complimentary hot G&Ts and gin-gerbread men for the first 200 guests…
But we’ve got one more trick up our sleeve! Believe it: we’ve got one two-hour igloo sesh to give away for you and up to seven friends, right in the heart of Ig-fest. Amid the revelry, in an igloo of your very own, you’ll each enjoy a superb two-course dinner from the Coppa Club kitchens, plus three bottles of prosecco to share amongst you. Now that’s good times!
