London’s First Grilled Cheese Championship Is Coming To Camden

In a quest to find London’s best grilled cheese, The Cheese Bar in Camden is hosting a bloody gouda fromage fest this September.

Mathew Carver, the man and legend behind The Cheese Truck and The Cheese Bar, is bringing together five of London’s best to battle for the prestigious title at the city’s very first Grilled Cheese Championship.

The menu will include creations from chefs at Berber & Q, Gunpowder, Decatur, Pizza Pilgrims and taco experts, El Pastor. Each chef is welcome to go as weird and as wonderful as they like, as long as they stick to one rule: the cheese they use must be British, in keeping with The Cheese Bar’s mission to champion the country’s best produce. And what’s even feta? All proceeds from the event will be donated to Help Refugees UK.

If you fancy getting involved, you’ll get a set menu of grilled cheeses, and will be expected to cast a vote. The menu will be priced at £20 and the event will take place from 6pm on September 14th. To reserve a table, get in touch with The Cheese Bar at booking@thecheesebar.com.
