There’s nothing better than a late night snack on a (warmish) summer night. The current London foodie market offering sure has plenty of munch to choose from, alongside varied entertainment, live music and a guaranteed buzzing atmosphere.
1. Old Spitalfields Night Market
Every second Friday of the month, with the next event being on Friday 13th May (oooo), Old Spitalfields Market is extending the opening times of some of their fantastic grub stalls. The likes of Bleecker St Burger, Dirty Bagels, Sud Italia, Poppies Fish and Chips, Al Chile and Belpassi Bros will remain open until 9pm that evening.
2. Kerb does Alchemy
KERB are returning to the Southbank Centre, alongside street food tradares, bars and games who are all paying homage to the Alchemy countries of India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nepal, Sri Lanka and Afghanistan. It runs between 19th – 30th May on Friday & Saturdays until 9pm. Expect a big and spicy 12 days of flavour and fun!
3. Red Market: Last Days Of Shoreditch
Launching on the 25th May and running until the 28th August, Red Gallery are running a themed market named ‘The Last Days of Shoreditch’. The market will be free to enter on Thursday evenings and £5 on Friday & Saturdays. On these evenings it will remain open until 11.30pm. They’ll have a constant rotation of street food traders, kicking off with Le Bao, The Joint and Crabbie Shack. The whole site certainly looks incredible, as it’s been curated by numerous East London artists. Junkyard Golf Club have also set up a quick 9 hole golf course, so you can get your putt on!
4. Brixton Night Market
Created to support local traders and street traders, Brixton Market has stalls serving up great street food, arts and crafts. It aims to not only help support the local economy, but also promote culturally diverse food products throughout the community. 5. Walthamstow Twilight Market
Running every Thursday between 4pm and 10pm, the Twilight Market comes to Walthamstow Town Square and Gardens bringing with it a delicious selection of delectable cultural delights. Expect plenty of varied street food vendors, along with specialist outdoor bars with craft beer and creative cocktails. Definitely worth a trip to Zone 3 for!
6. Street Feast London
The Street Feast gods bring their markets to multiple venues across London. There’s a huge selection of food and drink stalls across Dalston Yard, Model Market in Lewisham, Hawker House in Canada Water and Dinerama in Shoreditch.
