Back by popular demand, Vauxhall Winter Village is returning on November 16th.
Not heading to the slopes this winter? Well, there’s a far cheaper way to get a taste of après-ski life this November, and you won’t even have to leave London. After a hugely successful first year in 2016, Vauxhall Winter Village is back and its bringing a piece of the Rocky Mountains south of the river Thames. There will no need for previous ski experience, just a love of all things mulled and melted.
Vauxhall Winter Village will have a line up of food stalls, offering everything you’d expect at a mountainside resort. From roasted chestnuts to warming soups with artisan bread and a whole lodge dedicated to fondue. Yep, that’s a lot of melted cheese. There will be cocktails, both hot and cold, as well as a cable car style photo booth to squeeze into and selfie until your heart’s content. Imagine all of the lovely things you’d expect of an skiing holiday, without the trouble, physical exertion and expense of skiing itself. The village is free to enter and launches on November 16th.
There’ll also be heated Alpine Cabins available for private hire, each with a different ski resort theme, e.g. St. Moritz and Aspen.
Vauxhall Winter Village launches on November 16th and will be open every weekday between 11:30am-10pm, and selected weekends until December 22nd. Find it at 6a South Lambeth Place, SW8 1RT.
