Join The Little Orchestra for a fabulous evening of classical music – but not as you know it.
Next month, The Little Orchestra will be putting on two beautiful performances of Beethoven’s 8th Symphony, Egmont Overture and Wellington’s Victory, and so much more. Putting a casual twist on the classic classical concert, this event will be an intimate and atmospheric affair. There’ll be chilled vibes, plenty of snacks and a well-stocked bar that will stay open through the night (yes, that’s right, there’s an afterparty).
While these things are usually experienced in a church or concert hall, The Little Orchestra is not quite so formal. Instead, everything is much less intimidating and a lot more intimate, and you’ll sit within touching distance of the action. It’s the most magical way to experience an orchestra.
These very special events, taking place on Friday March 1 and Saturday March 2, are the perfect introduction to classical music – we’re even fairly certain that the naysayers will be converted. Alexandra Palace’s Victorian Theatre will be transformed with stunning lighting and set design, and Conductor Nicholas Little will guide you through the programme, offering insights into the wonderful world of Beethoven.
Stick around for the afterparty and you’ll get a chance to mix and mingle with the performers, as well as tucking into more food and drink (we know what you’re like).
