Kew’s Christmas Lights Trail Is Back And It’s Simply Magical!

Kew’s Christmas lights trail is back for another winter, and this time they’ve got singing trees.

Kew Gardens are bringing the light and magic back to south-west London this Christmas. Well-established as being among the very best of London’s Christmas lights, there are wonders galore to be found in the forest. For starters, you’ll find one million lights twinkling in the branches and boughs…

Popping up along the two-kilometre trail are fields of illuminated baubles, canopies of lights, and gigantic lit-up flowers. And that’s just the beginning. In the space of an hour, you’ll be meandering over illuminated bridges, sauntering through a storm of neon bubbles, and puckering up for a smooch beneath a cloud of mistletoe.

Your onward explorations will reveal a scented fire garden, and a giant Christmas tree made out of sledges, which will be serenading passing punters with carols. Finally, Kew’s iconic Palm House will be lit up with a full spectrum of colours, and shoot frickin’ laser beams into the night sky.

Honestly, it’s gorgeous, and you’ll kick yourself for missing it. Just watch the video if you don’t believe us! The Christmas Lights trail will be illuminating Kew until Jan 1, 2018 – tickets start from £16, and are available here.

Kew Gardens is in Richmond, TW9 3AE, and the nearest tube station is Kew Gardens.
