Audible are celebrating the launch of their new audio drama, Northanger Abbey, by letting Londoners travel like it’s 1817.
On the 200th anniversary of Jane Austen’s death, Audible will be releasing an all-star dramatisation of the light-hearted gothic satire and inviting guests to commute like it’s 1817 in an authentic period carriage.
It may not be as fast as the tube, but you will instead be treated to an exclusive first-listen of audio excerpts of Northanger Abbey which stars Emma Thomson, Douglas Booth, Ella Purnell, Eleanor Tomlinson and Jeremy Vine.
To book your mighty wagon, call 020 01807 200 to reserve your place. The service is available exclusively on Tuesday, July 18, between 7am and 2pm. And it’s first-come, first-serve, so look lively if you fancy a morning commute with a difference.
Or why not hire your own motorised canal boat?
