Ahh Brick Lane; the legendary East London strip, home to some of the capital’s most authentic curry houses. Even if you’re not walking down Brick Lane to get your Biryani fix, the hosts standing outside of the restaurants to beckon you in sure do a good job of convincing you that you need one. But if you take a stroll along Brick Lane this Sunday 30th October, you’ll find that the temptation will be out on the street. The Brick Lane community are coming together to bring us The Curry and Food Festival, which will be full of spice and rice and everything nice. You’ll have the chance to nibble your way down the world-famous road, tasting authentic flavours at each food stall. The curry houses will also be running special discounts and offers throughout the day. Alongside the food, there will be entertainment, including face painting, arts and crafts, a drumming parade and live acts and music. The festival, which is free to attend, has been sponsored by Cobra, so you can enjoy your saag paneer with an ice-cold beer.
