Annnnnd we’re getting another one. Whoopdy-doo.
Starting Tuesday (21st) evening at 9pm, members of the RMT union will be walking out for 24 hours, meaning there’ll be no service on the Central line east of Leytonstone, reduced service on the rest of the Central line, and no service at all on the Waterloo & City line.
The strike is in protest of the forced transfer of eight drivers from one depot to another and, despite TfL’s best efforts, it looks like the unions are standing their ground. The strike will affect the Central line and the Waterloo and City line throughout the whole day on Wednesday (22nd) and it’s suspected that both the Overground, the Victoria line and the Jubilee line will be significantly busier than usual. So, you know the drill, “allow extra time for your journey” and all that jazz…
