Gin + boat + summer = perfection. How else to explain a gin cruise?
You might have noticed that we’re a little gin crazy here at Secret London. Not quite Gin Craze-levels, but we are pretty fond of mother’s ruin. So the news that a gin cruise is heading to the canals of East London this week has got us pretty well ginned up. Really, can you think of a better way to spend a summer’s evening than sipping gin on the deck of a boat, watching the sun sink behind the Olympic Park?
Happy days, then, that Gin on the River decided to launch a new route. They’re well established in Ware, Hertfordshire, but they’re taking a jaunt all the way down the River Lea to Stratford this summer, beginning on June 7. Anyone joining the cruise gets a three hour-jaunt around the East London canal network, launching from Olympic Park.

On this happy voyage, you can sample a range of gins from all over the world – and naturally mix ’em up into a refreshing G&T. You also get to keep the glass as a souvenir. This trip on the high seas will set you back £75, and whilst the June 7 cruise is currently the only one on offer, there are many more planned, so keep scanning that horizon.
