If there’s one thing that’s guaranteed to get a Londoner to stop in their tracks, it’s free food. So, get a pizza this: Rudy’s Pizza Napoletana have announced that they are opening a new restaurant in Shoreditch and celebrating in the very best way possible. With free pizza, of course – 5,000 of them, to be exact. It turns out that there really ain’t no party like a (free) pizza party.
If the name Rudy’s sounds familiar to you, it may because you follow our dear pals up in Manchester. They are (understandably) die hard fans of the Manchester born-and-bred pizza spot. Alternatively, it might be because back in 2021, Rudy’s finally answered our prayers. They ventured down south and opened a branch in the heart of Soho.
Their second London-based restaurant will be arriving on Shoreditch High Street in December. And if that in itself isn’t good news enough, they’re commemorating the new opening with a whopping 5,000 free pizzas. All you need to do is sign up on their website to nab yourself one of the freebies. Easy peasy, lemon tomato (?!) squeezy.
Born out of a passion for pizza, Rudy’s follows the authentic Neapolitan pizza-making method which is renowned for its consistency and quality. Rudy’s Shoreditch will offer classic recipes such as Marinara, Margherita and Calabrese (all originating from Naples) as well as some slightly less traditional (but equally as delicious) specials.
So what makes Rudy’s pizza so lip-smackingly, cult-formingly good? Well, to start with, their dough is made fresh each day using Caputo ‘00’ flour which has been left to ferment for at least 24 hours. Their fine ingredients are imported twice a week from Naples, meaning you’re getting pretty damn close to an authentic Italian pizza-eating experience. Not bad, hey?
Staying true to their authentic Neapolitan roots, Rudy’s Shoreditch will also be equipped with a well-stocked bar. Expect them to be serving up iconic Italian spritzes, crisp Italian Poretti, and classic cocktails. Belissimo!
Neal Bates of Rudy’s Pizza, said: “We’re so excited to have the opportunity to share our authentic Neapolitan pizzas to even more Londoners. We’re delighted to be joining the thriving neighbourhood of Shoreditch, and look forward to opening our doors later this year. We’re looking forward to showing those across the capital just how authentic our menu is with 5,000 free pizzas available as you really do have to taste it to believe it.”
Rudy’s Pizza Napoletana Shoreditch will be opening later this year at Motacute Yards, 183-184 Shoreditch High Street, E1 6HU. Sign up to bag yourself a free pizza here.
