A Floating Cinema Is Coming To London For Christmas
Central London’s beautiful marina is getting into the Christmas spirit with a festive, floating cinema.
The famous floating film festival is returning to St Katharine Docks. Grab a bean bag and a blanket and watch the best Christmas movies on a (fully heated) floating pontoon in the centre of the marina. The cinema will be open from 4th-10th December, and it’s playing all your festive favourites, including Home Alone, Love Actually and The Grinch. Find out more and get your tickets here.
Besides the floating cinema, there’s going to be all sorts of other merry magic going on at the Docks. The lights will be switched on on Thursday 23rd November from 6pm, by renowned actor and actual Docks resident, David Suchet. The marina will be transformed into a beautiful, twinkly winter wonderland, featuring a seriously stunning Christmas tree. On the night, there’ll be carol singing from the City Chamber Choir, as well as mulled wine and mince pies. There will also be a food market on Friday December 8th and Friday December 15th, with brass bands, street food and plenty of hot toddies.
You’ll find St Katharine Docks right next to Tower Bridge at 50 St Katharine’s Way, E1W 1LA.
