Romance takes to the waters of the Thames with this charming floating candlelight concert.
We like to think we’ve been pretty good at supplying cute date ideas in the past, from floating jazz nights to breathtaking candlelit concerts. For our next recommendation, however, we’re simply taking the best of both worlds and combining them in one night – with a floating candlelight concert steadily cruising down the Thames! It’s setting off into the sunset on August 8 & 19, September 5 & 19, and October 3; you can find your tickets here, and read on for more information.
If there’s anything that screams romance, it’s a combination of serene river cruises and softly flickering candlelight, elevated by stirring musical performers. You’ll hear compositions from a mix of classical and modern composers on your journey down the Thames, with a 90-minute voyage offering sweeping views of London from the water.
It’s an intimate, elegant way to spend the evening, and makes for a truly unforgettable date night. Oh, and when the music stops, the city starts to entertain instead, as the boat’s open-air top deck allows for sightseeing and (weather permitting) stargazing. Really, we can’t think of a better way to while away a summer night!
