The day we’ve all been waiting for has arrived. Lumiere London is officially open to the public tonight and just to whet your appetite, we’ve managed to get our hands on a selection of exclusive photos of the magical scenes at King’s Cross.
The festival of light will transform the city for four days, starting today (14th January), with dazzling displays across King’s Cross and the West End. Developed by creative producers Artichoke and supported by the Mayor of London, Lumiere London will take you on a mesmerising night time adventure, leading you through trails of light installations and artwork that have turned the capital into a canvas of colour.
If these exclusive photos of King’s Cross are anything to go by, it’s going to be pretty phenomenal. And it’s not just a photo op! Those visiting King’s Cross will be able to experience some of the best food the capital has to offer, as many of the restaurants on site put on dedicated Lumiere London inspired menus. Lumiere London inspired food will also be on offer, at the Midnight Feast, in Lewis Cubitt Square from a host of food traders. Visitors will also be able to enjoy a ‘light’ aperitif in the Keller Bar, who will be serving up some warming cocktails, which will no doubt be very much appreciated in the freezing weather this weekend.
The night gallery is totally free to enter and a map of the installations can be downloaded by clicking here. Don’t forget to tag us (@secret.london) in your Instagrams – we’ll be re-gramming and featuring our fave snaps on the Secret London Facebook page!
