EAT have made lunch a little more ludicrous.
Christmas is coming, and with it comes the welcome return of fast-casual chains trying their hand at Christmas sandwiches. We’re definitely game for a seasonal treat – witness last year’s heroic mission to rank all the Christmas coffees – but this year, one chain is making an early attempt to win favour. EAT have unveiled their Christmas menu, and whilst the sandwiches sound pretty neat, our attention is squarely focused on one item: the Christmas roast, served in a Yorkshire pudding wrap.
Yup, it’s basically your Christmas Day feast, but neatly wrapped up so you can munch it on the Northern Line. The festive treat includes turkey, sage & onion stuffing, crispy bacon, sage mayo, and cranberry sauce – loving nuzzled in that all-important Yorkshire pudding wrap. All that’s missing is the roast potatoes, but a bag of crisps will surely make for a reasonable facsimile. Meanwhile, EAT will also serve a pot of pigs in blankets, which is just so wrong that it’s almost right again.
The Yorkshire pudding wrap will set you back £4.99, which more than likely makes it the cheapest Christmas dinner in town. Other seasonal offerings include festive mac & cheese, salted caramel and gingerbread cakes, and the more traditional Christmas sandwich – although it just doesn’t feel as fun when it’s not in a wrap…
