Vegan activist Earthling Ed is opening a non-profit vegan diner in London, raising money for grassroots animal rights movement, Surge.
Launching in Hoxton “very, very soon”, Earthling Ed’s new Unity Diner will serve a range of delicious plant-based dishes, including ‘fish’ and chips, ‘chicken’ pancakes and the classic cherry pie.
Earthling Ed is an animal rights activist known for his powerful YouTube videos. He said on a recent Instagram photo:
“I honestly can’t believe that this is really happening and I can’t believe we’ve finally managed to put this all together after over a year of figuring this thing out. But here we go. WE ARE OPENING A NON-PROFIT VEGAN DINER IN LONDON.”
With the profits made from the diner, Ed and the team at Surge hope to run large scale vegan advertising campaigns, as well as fund the development of The Surge Sanctuary, which is set to open in 2019. They’ll also be producing new content, including mini-documentaries.
