Legendary venue, Borderline, is bringing funk, soul and disco back to Soho with its new, weekly club night.
Nestled in the heart of Soho, and hidden beneath G-A-Y, Borderline is constantly making history with regular gigs and club nights; hosting many a rising star in the music game. But the venue is now on a mission to rekindle our undying love for disco, funk and soul by launching the greatest #throwback night in the capital.
Dance to the likes of Stevie Wonder, Diana Ross and James Brown while fully immersing yourself in festi-vibes. Complete with disco balls, epic lighting, confetti, and even a live covers band headlining the evening, Borderline’s newest club night, Motorcity, will give you a condensed festival experience for a fraction of the price.
The mini festival will happen every Friday night while punters party ’til 4am. You can expect a classic mix of all the best motown, soul, funk, disco and rock ‘n’ roll – all guaranteed to keep you on your feet all night long. The launch party will take place on Friday 8th June, with live music from The 45’s and Scarlett O’Malley on the decks.
The best part about it all (besides the simple pleasure of boogying to Earth, Wind and Fire until the early hours, of course) is that tickets are only a fiver if you buy them in advance. Get hold of yours here. For more info, check out Motorcity’s Facebook page.
