Citymapper is launching a new night bus service that’s set to run between Aldgate and Highbury & Islington, via Shoreditch and Dalston.
If you go out in East London on the weekend, get ready to rejoice. Okay, we have night buses and now, thankfully, the night tube, but get ready for a smooth ride on the ‘CM2 – Night Rider.’
[Citymapper]This specific route between Aldgate and Highbury & Islington has been identified as a major gap for transport via the Citymapper app and so, they’re looking to help out all you lost Londoners.
[Citymapper]With it’s bright green colouring, the TfL-licensed single-decker ‘smart buses’ will be easily identifiable to even the most intoxicated. The seats even come with USB chargers underneath for those dead battery moments at the end of your night out, and the service will run on Fridays and Saturdays, from 9pm to 5am.
[Citymapper]As of yet, there have been no exact prices, but the CM2 will not run on Oyster cards and will instead use Apple and Android Pay. The buses will be running for a trial period of 6 months, and buses can be live-tracked to see if there’s enough time for your mate to get that cheeky kebab.
