The Christmas Lights At Covent Garden Are Switching On This Week!

share on:

This year, Covent Garden is once again adorned with 40 giant mistletoe chandeliers within Apple Market. On 15th November at 5.30pm, the Christmas lights throughout Covent Garden, as well as on the impressively large tree, will be flicked on! The festivities will take place on the Piazza, where an evening of open-air entertainment and music will commence. The night will include performances from the Royal Ballet dancers, as well as an excerpt from the Sugar Plum Fairy herself. (See our full guide to switch-on dates for Christmas lights in London.)

In fact, it will be the Sugar Plum fairy herself that will have the honour of turning the lights on. Not quite Craig David, who switched on the Oxford Street Christmas lights earlier this month, but we can imagine she has a little more elegance about her.
