Simply having a wonderful Christmas time.
Comes around earlier every year, doesn’t it?
Yes, we might not have even thought about Halloween yet, but after a topsy turvy couple of years, we’re not ashamed to say that we’re already bloody excited for a Christmas celebration.
Luckily we’ve enjoyed a more normal summer this year, so of course we’ll have all our fingers crossed that the same can be said when it comes to the most wonderful time of the year. And what better way to kick off the festive cheer than news of a massive and beautiful new light show coming to the grounds of Kenwood House around Hampstead Heath?
Setting up on November 26th (not too early, not too late; in my humble opinion), Christmas At Kenwood will enjoy its inaugurate year with an immersive display of light, sound and fire. You’ll find the grounds of Kenwood House perched on the edge of Hampstead Heath, meaning you’ll get a healthy dose of cracking-views-over-London to go alongside the display; which is always nice, isn’t it?
The trail will take you through a series of jaw-dropping installations, including the likes of a laser garden, light avenue, a unique sculpture made by acclaimed artist Hannelora Johansson, and a dazzling display at Kenwood house to end your bright evening.
Up until January 9, this glamorous installation will be open to the public from midday. As it’s Christmas, you’ll be glad to hear there are market stalls aplenty in the grounds, so you won’t have to look far when you wish to fill up on some mince pies, mulled wine and spiced cider.
It may be early, but if you’re a sucker for mesmerising light shows or are just feeling festive, you can find tickets and more information at the event here.
