Carluccio’s is set to be your next favourite place for a long drink.
You’ll already know of Carluccio’s for mouth-watering Italian food but they’ve recently expanded their drinks menu, too. And a variety of new offers means we’re trying to find an opportunity to visit each branch to sample them all.
First up on the menu is the brand new Sofia cocktail, made up of a delicious blend of Tanqueray gin, rosemary, botanicals and soda. Described as a savoury aromatic, it was named after founder Antonio’s pet pig and is our pick for a refreshing choice.
Try it with any pasta dish (excluding the seafood linguine, crab & langoustine tagliolini and specials) for £13.99. And if you’re not hungry enough for a whole meal – or just fancy popping in for a quick one – you can pair the Sofia cocktail with an antipasto for £11.99 (Our top picks are the prawn bruschetta, Sicilian Arancini or the Zuppa di Fungi.)
While the Sofia is a cool, invigorating blend, the new Bloody Mary is for anyone who’s a fan of spice. Traditionally created with vodka, tomato juice and Worcestershire sauce, the restaurant recommends pairing it with their Magnifica Tradizionale (eggs with grilled smoky pancetta, sausage, sautéed mushrooms, tomato, toasted ciabatta, which also comes vegetarian or vegan friendly) for £14.99.
But the Sicilian spritz is the drink of choice for anyone wanting a true taste of the country. Tanqueray gin, mixed with limoncello, lemonade and prosecco is enough to convince us we’re actually spending an evening in southern Italy. Order one with a side of focaccia for £10.99 for an excellent post-work treat.
Head over to Fever to claim one of the offers and then make your way to one of Carluccio’s 32 London restaurants in order to redeem it. Find your closest one here.
