You may be familiar with the capital’s sensational Candlelight series, which sees talented string quartets and other classical instruments perform pared back versions of much loved classics. However, at the Candlelight Sound Bath experience, you and your inner peace take centre stage. Following a successful debut event back in November (2022), the tranquil, meditation-style sessions will once again return, bringing hundreds of candles to London’s happiest, multi-sensory museum Dopamine Land this January.
What is a Candlelight Sound Bath?
On January 7–8 and January 14–15, a room at Dopamine Land will strip back the innovative technology it usually uses, and champion more natural elements to encourage a state of relaxation. Effectively, a sound bath is a meditation session that uses sound therapies to centre you. As you sit in the Candlelight Sound Bath (not a literal bath, FYI), illuminated by hundreds of candles, the sound waves will wash over you, and encourage you to completely unwind. The meditation session will be led by an experienced practitioner, so you can almost guarantee you’ll leave feeling utterly blissful. And, what better place to get the calm positivity flowing than a place dedicated to happiness?
Following the 75-minute session, all participants at the Candlelight Sound Bath will receive a complimentary cup of tea or coffee, to be enjoyed at the colourful Dopamine Land bar. You can choose from multiple sessions throughout the weekend – choose the slot best suited to you here – and yoga mat rental is available too.
