A terrifying four-floor fire took hold in Camden Lock Market last night.
The fire, which took hold quickly, spread upward through the north end of a market building, to the horror of those out nearby.
It really looked very bad indeed.
And the casual onlooker might have thought the market could be out of action for sometime.
But fortunately, that’s not the case. Not only was nobody hurt in the fire, the fire was contained to the building next to the Market Hall, and brought under control in just three hours.

Although one building has suffered severe damage, the rest of the Lock Market, most of KERB’s food stalls and all of the Stables are open more or less as usual. So the market managers have one message:
The majority of #KERBCamden and #CamdenMarket is open as usual, should be back to normal tomorrow. Please come down and support! #camdenfire pic.twitter.com/XtLkGxndpS
